DCRE's Volunteer Projects

DCRE Labs maintains a number of development projects at any given time, many of them are volunteer-based community outreach and social responsibility projects. While the DCRE staff is committed to sponsoring and supporting these efforts, there are several side-projects or sub components that are available for volunteers who wish to contribute to one or more of the project requirements.

A Cautionary Tale on Google

As most all non-cave dwellers have heard, Google's philosophy is "do no evil" (okay, that's not completely true and it does vary at times, granted. As of 2/15/10, the phrase is:

Sadly enough, it appears the EU has a better read on the Sun/Oracle merger than our own Justice Department.

Current Status

DCRE Labs' West Coast division systems are operating normally, despite the recent fiber optic sabotage experiened throughout the Silicon Valley Area. Our staff monitored the network traffic status throughout the event and were relieved to find all main trunks remained online and operational. Increased network load due to re-routed traffic did not adversely affect operations.
